Our Family of 5!!!

Most of you already know that we welcomed Sadie Katherine into our family last night at 7:38pm. She weighed in at 7lb 6oz and was 19 3/4 inches long and, of course, we think she is beautiful!!! It was a long day as she was stubborn and didn't seem to want to make her appearance. When she finally decided she was ready....she was ready... and didn't even wait for the doctor!! I went from being dilated to 7 to Sadie laying in the warmer in less than 10 minutes...it was quite the experience!!!

These boys could not be prouder big brothers!! They waited it out at the hospital all day because they wanted to be the first to see her. They were so sweet when they finally got to meet her!! John told one of the grandparents that "his heart was full of love" and when their daddy walked them out last night, Sam wanted him "tell Sadie I love her!"

We have only seen her for maybe an hour since she was born. She has jaundice and is having to stay in the nursery under the photo therapy lights. They are also sending off some blood work to check for infection because they are a little concerned about her color.... so say a little prayer for her when you think about it!!

We can't wait to get home so you can all come and meet her!

Update: So far all of Sadie's blood work has come back fine. They are waiting on one more test, but it appears she just has a severe case of jaundice. She is also having a little trouble tolerating her milk, so we are working on that too. It looks like it will be at least 2-3 more days before she is able to come home. The boys are having a little bit of a hard time with mommy and daddy being gone so John is heading home tonight to be with them!
