I was catching up on blogs and went over to Becca's blog and read her latest entry. In case you don't know Becca, she is also expecting her third child. Her other 2 are also boys.. so we have alot in common. Becca and her husband, much to the dismay of some of her friends, decided not to find out the sex of their little one. In Becca's latest post she talks about how everyone mentions wanting them to have a girl and although, she would like to have a girl, she would be just as happy with another little boy. That post got me to thinking about something that I have thought about many times since our ultrasound. Now, everybody knows that I really wanted a girl and was very excited when we were told that we were having a girl. Since that day though, I have had this fear... that the baby is really a boy. The fear, though, isn't that I will be so disappointed.... it is that others will think we are disappointed. Now, don't get me wrong if this baby is a boy there will be a very brief moment of disappointment, because there are some really cute dresses hanging in that closet and because the poor child won't have a name. But, just so you know... we will be excited none the less. (Of course if it is a boy, someone will have to take back this pink carseat before we can leave the hospital. ) So, I just wanted to let you all know, if the time comes and you hear that we had a boy, don't feel sorry for us.... we have really cute boys!!! ; )

I wonder why is it that most people think it is ideal to have "one of each" I love that my girls will be close as sisters - as you probably love the brotherly love!
Obviously, I do have one of each--but when I was pregnant I really wanted another boy because I was scared of having a girl. (They're a lot different, ya know?!) I love my daughter with all of my heart, but I had good reason to be scared, we're living it now--my 5 year old going on 15!! :) Not to scare you from having a girl or anything...we are excited for you guys no matter if its a boy or girl because all that is important is that the baby is healthy...that's ALL that matters. Can you believe its only 2 months away---OH SO EXCITED!!!!!
What a sweet post. Go read my comment to Becca. You do have cute boys so either way will be great.
