Well, we have an unwanted visitor at our house for the weekend!!!
THE FLU!!! Yep, I picked Sam up after work yesterday and he had a 103 temp. He was up all night with a nasty, croupy cough. One thing he definitely got from me is when he is sick he wants to just sit in the bathtub. Both of our boys are like that. Anyway, Sam was in the bath at 2:00am and then again at 6:30 and he has had one more since then. He is already asking to get in again! We went to the doctor this morning and he tested positive for flu!! I have to say,though, that he is such a trooper--no matter how bad he feels he is always ready to play. Right now his temp is above 101, but he is dressed up like Woody, watching Toy Story!!! Hopefully he will have only a mild case--he had a flu shot (at the beginning of flu season) and they prescribed him Tamiflu today. They also gave us Tamiflu for John to try to prevent him from getting it!! So, it looks like we will spend the weekend at home. That is ok though, I have plenty to do around here!!!! Hope Sam is feeling better soon and that the rest of you don't get it
It's going around like wild-fire. Another friend of mine just got diagnosed with it and I'm sure it's what her kids had as they were sick most of this past week. NO FUN! Hope it doesn't make it's way through your house & that Sam is on the mend quickly.
