Ok,so I will get to the story that that the title comes from later!!
First, I will admit that one of my New Years Resolutions have already been broken--updating this blog more often!! I guess that isn't too bad,the other ones are sticking so far! I am going to keep trying to update more often, though I am not making any promises!!
Ok,so back to the title. So,today I have my niece who is about 21 months old and my cousins little girl who is about 8-9 months old. The 2 girls and Sam are in his room (or so I think) playing "very nicely". I had peeked in on them a couple of times while cleaning and they seemed to be content. So I go on about my business. A few minutes later I get a whiff of something that I just couldn't place. It didn't smell bad, actually it smelled pretty good--a little like strawberries,a little like baby powder-so I go to investigate. Well, the girls are still playing in Sam's room,so I peek into the bathroom and there it is---Sam's masterpiece!!! Almost an entire bottle of baby powder on the floor, then he had taken the spray bottle we use to wet the boys hair and soaked it all down. Well, do you know what baby powder is like wet? Paste!!! The "paste" was packed into the grout lines on our tile bathroom floor. I had to literally scrape it out. That isn't all though!! He had also dumped a little powder in his room for the girls to "play" with and a little in John's bed!! But,you may be wondering where the strawberry smell come from--it came from the whole bottle of Strawberry Smoothie shampoo he poured in the bath along with half the bottle of the dog shampoo!! I promise to you all that I had just seen the kid playing with Weebles 5 minutes earlier. He was not left unattended for that long!!!!! Needless to say he got a spanking and was put down for nap immediately!!!! The sad part is, I am pretty sure he hasn't learned his lesson!!
In other news,we are excited that John is starting indoor soccer at the Y this week. It will be a good way for him to let out some of his energy this winter. Speaking of letting out energy-if you live near by and you have little ones, you should check out Kidpark at Christ Church. It is a cool indoor playground open to the public. A few of us met there last Friday to let the kids play and they had a blast!!!
