Camping

We had a great time camping this weekend at Cedar Creek on The Old Hickory Lake with memommy,Pawpaw, Steve, Tricia, and Casey. The boys absolutely love to go camping. Well, let me specify that--JohnJohn LOVES to go camping, Sam loves camping until it is time to go to bed and then he had rather "go home and sleep in my bed!" The first night was rough,Sam was awake until about 3:00 am. Not crying or anything ,just laying in bed saying, "I ready go home now Daddy". So needless to say after getting up @ 7:30, he was rather grumpy on Saturday. We played around at the campground, went out on Pawpaw's pontoon boat, and swam in the lake. Then it started raining so we went and grabbed a bite to eat and stopped at a local McDonald's to play. When we got back to the camper we gave the little ones baths and put them to bed!!! John and Steve took JohnJohn fishing. They had a great time and caught "lots" of fish. They were little fish, but who cares? I am sure the story would be different if you asked any of them. I forgot to take our digital camera,so we had to buy a disposable one. Maybe I can get some pics posted once I have them developed!!
Thank goodness, everyone slept great on Saturday night and woke up in much better moods. We went swimming in the lake (well, the boys did, I don't do Lake water!),and then riding on the boat before a big storm came. Actually we were in the middle of the lake when the big storm came, so needless to say we were all very wet and cold before we made it back to the camper!! We ate lunch, cleaned up and headed home!!!! The boys had a great time and are already asking when we are going back!! We are hoping to buy ourselves a camper by next year, so hopefully we can have alot more trips like this one in the future!!!

It sounds like Sam has some camping experience to go through. I'm sure he will totally love it once he's done it a few times. We took Tony a couple of months ago. He seemed fine with it as long as he wasn't too hot and had a full belly. Tyler seems like a natural at it. Of course, we didn't take him until after a year old. I'm sure it's nice for you and the boys to be getting a break from each other. I'm really enjoying your blog.
