Back to Work

Well, after 2 1/2 years of staying home with the boys, I have decided to go back to work part-time. I started yesterday and so far so good!!!! I am working for Vanderbilt Community Home Care with medically fragile children in their homes. I will start out with "easier" cases (tube fed,etc) and work my way up to the more difficult ones (ventilators) as I feel comfortable. I love staying home with the boys,but sometimes it felt like I wasn't really contributing to the family (or anyone else for that matter) by being home everyday. I know that I was,but I feel like I need to do something else. I think it will be good for us (me and the boys) to have a little break from each other.Besides that,if I had stayed out of work for much longer my license would have become inactive and I would have to take refresher courses to get it active again. I really don't want to have to do that! I think this will be a good balance between working and being at home. I will only work 2 days a week for now and the boys will stay with Dad on Saturday and then go to MDO and to their "memommies" house on the other!! I'll keep you posted on how it goes!!
