to several blogs of missionaries who are in Haiti. I find myself checking them (along with others) every single day, at least once. (the links are in my sidebar) I can't believe the conditions the people there live in. I am especially drawn to the kids there. I read today at Children's Lifeline that 50% of the children there will die before they turn 15!! 50%!!! That is so sad!! It has got me thinking about what we could do to help. It also has me thinking about how lucky we are. I mean, here we are--we have a nice house-nothing fancy by American standards, but we have AC, running water, beds!! I find myself wanting a bigger, better house when these kids would be happy just to have a bed to sleep on...or probably even a soft blanket or a cot...which you can help provide by going to this site. One of the things I have always wanted to teach my boys is that they are blessed to have the things they have.I want them to know that there are kids everywhere who don't have the luxuries they have..or even the necessities for that matter!!
I think the boys and I may do this..if you want to help out, let me know!!
Ok, I am done preaching!! I know you aren't used to seeing this kind of posts here at my blog!!!
One more thing. Check out Jaime's blog, they are just starting the process to adopt a precious little boy they found on one of these sites!!!
