Well, today was John's first day of Kindergarten. He was up bright and early (as always) and ready to go. We walked him to his class and helped him get all of his supplies together. There were several children who were crying and parents were just kind of hanging out. I leaned over and asked John, "hey buddy, do you want mommy and daddy to stay for a little while or are you ready for us to go?"Without even thinking he said" I'm ready for you to go!" So, off we went. It was only a half day, so we have already picked him up. He came out of the school all smiles. He hopped in the van and when I asked him how it went, he said "It was awesome, I loved it!!" That was so good to hear. He has hardly stopped talking about it since we picked him up!!!

I almost cried when I read this. I can't believe John is in Kindergarten!! So grown up!! Glad he loves it.
I'm so glad that John had a great first day! I'm looking forward to getting to know him this year.
I am so glad he loved it!! He is such a sweet kid I really enjoyed keeping both boys last winter. They are great kids.
