Well, we had a busy and very interesting weekend!! We started out on Saturday morning at Turner Farms getting our family pictures taken by Alison Bynum check out her blog http://alisonbynum.com and you can take a sneak peek. We had a great time and came home with a new puppy!! He is so cute and you can check out pictures of him and his litter mates on Alison's other blog http://thebynums.blogspot.com. I will try to post pics of our puppy later. His name is Jack and he is great so far!!! He is doing great in his crate at night and has only had a couple of accidents. (Thank goodness for hardwood!!) John is looking forward to taking him to obedience classes in a few weeks. He claims he is a birthday present for Little John, but I know better. After our pictures we headed to our Fall Festival at church. We had a fun time there and the kids enjoyed playing all the games.
The most exciting part of our weekend took place after church on Sunday. John and the boys had gone to play outside with the puppy and I was inside cleaning the house for Sam's birthday party that night. I look outside and see John and Little John, but no Sam. So I ask "Where is Sam". John replies "in the back yard". So we start looking for him,not really worried at first because it isn't unusual for him to go into the house or into the garage or somewhere like that. Well, after searching for about 20 minutes in all the usual hiding spots (and some unusual places) including all the vehicles, the house, the garage, the doghouse, the refrigerator in the garage--panic sets in. For those of you who haven't been to our house,we live on a very busy street (on the front side)and a pretty big subdivision behind us. I was sure Sam had wondered into the subdivision,so we call the police!!!Within seconds (literally) there were police everywhere!!! (Thank you Rutherford County Sheriff's Department!!!) Several cars in our driveway, all of our neighbors searching, police driving and walking all up and down the roads behind us!! Needless to say--I was freaked out!!! Well, after about 45 minutes since he first disappeared--Sam appears out of nowhere, unaware of the chaos he has caused-and begins to do a little dance and say"Hey mommy, here I am ,I was hiding!!" I have never been so happy to see someone, but so ready to kill someone at the same time!!! He says he was hiding in the van,but I don't see how that is possible since the vehicles had been searched several times!!! Thank God he was just hiding!! I don't know if we will ever let him outside again!!!

Wow! I know you were freaked out! Isn't it funny that they can hide for 45 minutes, but can't sit still for two?
