Our Disney trip

Our trip to Disney was wonderful.I am going to give you some highlights from the trip and post a few pics. The first day of the trip we went to Downtown Disney to do a little shopping. The boys loved the Legoland and the Potato Head section at Once Upon a Toy. The picture of the family walking the dogs--they are all made of legos---very cool. At the "Potato Head store" as Sam calls it--you get a box and stuff all the potato head parts you can fit into it. They have all different costumes for your potato head--Buzz Lightyear,pirate,Peter Pan,The Incredibles are just a few that we got. Needless to say,the potato heads at our house are going to be well dressed!!! Downtown Disney is also where we bought the Mickey ears and Goofy hat the boys are sporting! That night we ate with Mickey,Minnie,Goofy,Pluto,Chip,and Dale at Chef Mickey's. That was really neat. the kids loved it,of course.
On Day #2 we headed to Magic Kingdom. We had a great time,but it was a lot hotter than we expected it to be at the end of October---97 degrees!!! By late afternoon, the boys were hot and grumpy and begging for a nap!!!! We headed to Ariels' Grotto,which has water features and they played there for awhile and left in much better moods!! That night we ate with Mickey and the gang again at Liberty Taverns.
On Day #3 we went to Animal Kingdom,but before we headed there we had breakfast with Lilo and Stitch at O'Hana's at the Polynesian Resort. John and I had never been to this park because it is fairly new. It is really neat and I don't think we saw even half of what was there. We went on Kilimanjaro Safari which is really neat. Then we had to find the face painting area. John had spotted a litte boy with his face painted the first day and had been begging ever since to have his done. As you can see by the picture,he chose a tiger. As you know nothing is cheap at Disney World,but luckily they touch your face painting up for free if it gets messed up--we took advantage of that several times! We saw the Festival of The Lion King which was a great show.
Day #4 was a day for rest! haha We went to check out the Wilderness Lodge which is beautiful hotel,then ended up back at Downtown Disney for more shopping. that night we ate at Cap'N Jack's seafood!!
Day#5 we went to Epcot. We ate lunch with Chip N Dale at a revolving restaraunt. We saw a couple of shows and rode the new ride -Soarin'. It was a great ride!! JohnJohn loved it!!! We left Epcot after lunch and headed back to Magic Kingdom for more rides and for JohnJohn to see Captain Jack Sparrow. i think this was the highlight of the trip for him. He was Chosen to take the oath of a Pirate and given a certificate!! As you can see in one of the pics,he took this very seriously!!!
On day#6 we headed to MGM Studios,this was by far Sam's favorite!!!! We saw Buzz and Woody and tons of the other characters from Disney. The boys loved getting autographs and having their pictures made with them. At lunch we ate at Pizza Planet (from Toy Story). We ate dinner at Hollywood and Vine and then went to Mickey's Fantasmic. It is a really neat light show on the water!! We were all sad to leave,but ready to be home at the same time. We were definitely spoiled in the food department. We ate very well while we were there! If any of you are planning on going to Disney,we would definitely recommend the Disney Dining Plan,it was well worth it!!!Here are some pics of the trip!!! Enjoy!!!
